A simple train and ribbon tied in a bow for the waist is absolutely perfect for someone who’s wedding is outdoors this Spring. I’ve added some “umph” to this little lady with my favorite colors this season. Emerald and pale pinks really compliment each other well and add that slight bit of tantalizing luster to your overall theme.

Anne Barge is now having a trunk show at Lovely NYC! As I’m sure you know, I’ve been quite inspired by the outdoors recently and there are beautiful flowers springing up everywhere! Inspired by pink peonies and pale yellow roses, I thought “Jamieson” by Anne  Barge is a sweet addition to a spring wedding. For a classic gown, “Jamieson” is very whimsical and feminine. That a-line ball gown will definitely make you feel like a princess, and your prince charming is sure to sweep you off your feet with this One Great Dress!

Ok, so remember the movie, “The Vow,” with Channing Tatum (sigh) and Rachel McAdams (LOVE) and they get married in a museum with like four of their closest friends, even though the museum doesn’t know, and then they get chased out by security, but it was so romantic and prompt to, that you wish you yourself could be as free and so in love that something wild and crazy like this doesn’t seem so wild and crazy?! Ok, maybe that’s a little extreme, and very, well, “movie.” But this is EXACTLY how Elizabeth Dye’s dress, Vertigo, makes me feel! She’s effortless and divine, and a love child, and free…well you get the picture. I think it’s pretty obvious that Ivy & Aster’s “Spellbound” is well worth the title. She’s “Sweet Pea” fitted, and still maintains the light flowy-ness with the swiss dot velvet fabric. Effortless is the first word that comes to mind. And since I am so “Spellbound” by this gown, pairing her with bold colors accented with gold and sending her off to sea seems like the perfect way to enter the new chapter of wedding life. I’m always a fan of stripes and polka dots, and nautical is a great way to have the best of both worlds.

One Great Dress this week is by Claire La Faye who just so happens to be having a trunk show this weekend at Lovely NYC. “Love Me Do” has definitely caught my eye, and I was more than eager to style this bohemian lady! Soft, light, and a little edgy with the deep plum colors make this gown comfortable and effortless. Mint and touches of blush make the style still summery and cheerful. Looking back, the styling of this little lady leaves a quirky bit of humor like with the bauble necklace and easy mint sandals. The bouquet and dark eyes lead me to feel elegance as well. And I’m totally obsessed with the gold dipped feathers! What a great idea and so easy! They could completely change the layout of a tablescape or even scattered across the aisle at your feet! Swoon!
