Meet Natalia, our Lovely store manager Merrill and Whitney! How CUTE is that heart in the background? I need it for over my bed. And now, for some LA inspirations for you California bride-to-be’s.

Lovely LA – Vintage Decor!

Remember when we opened our NYC store and shared our decor finds with you along the way? We thought we’d give you a sneak peak into our LA findings!

We are going to do a vintage chandelier cluster in our lobby. Aren’t these chandeliers we found divine? They came from Etsy, Craiglist, and The Rose Bowl Flea Market (which is out of this world!)

Then just like NY, we wanted HUGE custom mirrors so you can feel completely glam. We think these huge 4ft x 6ft puppies will do the trick and they are so sweet.

And we are super stoked about a rug we just got yesterday. Jeni Maus from Found Rentals has been doing some scouting for us. I sent her this color palette for our lobby area, and she found this rug shortly after! She is like a vintage decor super sleuth! Isn’t it perfect?

More cool finds next week and a BIG announcement later today (or tomorrow morning, technology permitting) about our store opening!

Decor & Details: Woodwork

With all the glitz and glamour, it’s sometimes nice to go back to nature. Lately, I’ve been crushing on just that–woods, greens, and especially birch. I’m loving all the different ways people have incorporated birch into candle holders, colored pencils, and bed posts. For someone looking for a natural, rustic look for their wedding, birch might be a good place to start!

Decor & Details – Heart Party

A heart. The archetype of love. Where it all comes from. So important in this whole scheme of love that I think it’s time we take a second and appreciate hearts all of the same shape but all in different sizes and colors. After all, Valentine’s day is almost here!

A heart full of people, a heart you can eat with, the shape of a heart after one too many glasses of wine, a heart of flowers, the heart of tea, save-the-dates sealed with a heart, and a heart cut-out banner.

Confetti hearts, thumb-prints of love, a ring of love, heart-macaroon cakes.

P.S- How awesome is that heart you can eat with? Split it in two and you’ve got two forks, two scoops, and two knives. Share it with the ones you love.

Decor & Details – Where Should I Sit?

Now that I’ve pretty much gotten my location and date locked in, I’m starting to create the look and feel of my wedding as well as figure out all the little details. One thing that I find important is place settings.

Given that my guests will be spending a considerable amount of time sitting at the dinner table, I think the table setting should be creative and fun

And since we all know setting a table is not easy, I created this little chart to help all of us out. So whether you’re actually setting the tables at your own wedding or just at a dinner party, you’re all set!
