Bridal Stylist – Rehearsal Outfits

With so much planning going on, a bride-to-be can often forget random things like, what she’ll wear for her rehearsal dinner. That same bride may think, “Bleh! Who cares! I get to wear an amazing dress the day after anyway!Okay, she may not really be thinking that because who doesn’t like another excuse to dress up?! But still, things can get hectic and she may be scrambling at the last minute to pick out an outfit. But have no fear, bridal stylist is here!

Any Brooklyn brides out there? Keep it cool with a casual, yet lovely fitting Rebecca Taylor dress, some wicked A Peace Treaty earrings, Jimmy Choo platforms, and a cute little purse by Pieces.

Wanna keep it simple? How about a light colored Alice and Olivia fitted dress, a geometric statement necklace by Kenneth Jay Lane, an awesome Lanvin clutch, topped off with some basic black pumps.

Remember ladies, the little back dress is always an option! This cap sleeved ASOS dress won’t break the bank and will looking amazing with some red suede Miu Miu pumps, a Zebra-printed Diane von Furstenberg clutch and some big Citrine by The Stones earrings.

Dying for some color? This Lela Rose dress is beyond words. With some yellow Manolo’s, a very colorful clutch from Matthew Williamson, and some Vanessa Mooney mood earrings, you’ll be the center of attention. Just like you should!

Lovely in Brides Magazine on ‘The Bridal Cap’

Brides Magazine asked our take on the latest accessory trends in bridal and it took us no time to answer…The Bridal Cap!! We love this trend and had several versions come into Lovely and sell within the day, so we know our cool, chic brides get it first! Aside from Kate Moss’s divine cap, here are a few of our other favorites. Whether you wear it over the brow or at the crown of your head, bridal caps look modern and vintage at the same time.

Lovely Style- At The Jane Hotel

When we were approached by stylist Leanne Ford about a photoshoot featuring some of our Ivy and Aster dresses at the historic Jane Hotel, we had no idea just how beautiful the results would be. So unconventional, these photos completely blew us away. It’s always inspiring to see how our dresses can take on such different personalities. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photography, Anna Wolfe!

Leanne:

Anna wolf and I have been trying to work together for years now, but have never been in the same city at the same time until this shoot. We just really wanted to play around and do something beautiful and special together. I had a vision to do a shoot with laces, whites, creams and hints of black.  I actually stayed at the Jane hotel that week just so we could shoot there! I love the deep colors and great history and style of that hotel.
I had a lot of vintage pieces I was excited to finally shoot, but I also wanted a couple GOWNS.  So I knew I had to call Lovely. Lovely boutique has been on my radar since it opened, and I was so excited to finally get to use some of their beautiful pieces and mix them in with my vintage pieces.  I just had this vision of a gown and a kimono walking down that hallway.
In my brain I didn’t  dream of the gown being peachy, (pink) so amazing! It was even more perfect than I imagined.
We did this shoot in about three hours one week day afternoon. And it has turned out to be one of my favorites! Thank you to Lovely for having such gorgeous dresses to play with!
Let’s play again soon!

Bridal Stylist-Making A Statement

I’ve never been one to wear a lot of jewelry. In fact, I only ever really wear an Amethyst ring that was passed down to me by my great-grandmother. Not even earrings. High on my Christmas list this year though, are statement necklaces because I often find myself wearing simple outfits that need some sprucing up. I have also recently fallen in love with brides wearing intricate, bulky statement necklaces to contrast with the simplicity of their white dresses.

Bridal Stylist-Engagement Rings!

Ahhh, December. Snow, twinkling lights, hot chocolate, holiday parties. It really is my favorite time of the year. I guess that is why it came as no surprise when I found out December is the month when the most marriage proposals take place. And while I’m not a guy, I imagine it can be pretty hard to find the perfect ring. Silver? Gold? Antique? So many options! So in order to help out you gents (and ladies!) on the hunt for the some bling, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite engagements rings from around the web.

(Conroy & Wilcox Titian Pearl Ring,  Satomi Kawakita Platinum Ring, St.Kilda Rapture Ring at CatbirdNYC, Vintage Engagement Ring from Weston, Art Deco Diamond Solitaire by Luxedeluxe on Etsy, Trilogy Ring from RustWedding, Rosette Stacking Ring from Bianca Monros Gomez, Custom Order Ring from OneStoneNewYork on Etsy, Hazeline Solitaire from Anna Sheffield, Hazeline Solitaire from Anna Sheffield, Diamond Ring from Hon Ngai on Etsy, Asymmetrical Avens Ring from Bario-Neal, Platinum Rose Cut Ring from RustWedding, Conroy & Wilcox Ring from Stuart & Wright.)

Which is your favorite? What does your ring look like?
