Featured Vendor: Salt and Stone Fine Jewelry

One of our favorite parts about being in the wedding industry is getting to ogle gorgeous engagement rings daily. Today we bring you a local fine jewelry vendor that will knock your socks off! Founded in 2010, Salt + Stone is a fine jewelry company based in Brooklyn, NY. All of their goods are currently hand-made in Manhattan’s diamond district and their studio in Brooklyn.  They specialize in wedding bands, engagement rings and custom made pieces.  Recently they have launched their first sterling silver collection with semi-precious collection to rave reviews. Described as “whimsical and fun”, Salt + Stone has seen tremendous growth in a short time frame.  They look forward to making your jewelry dreams come true!SS ss2
“Our mission is to make the world more beautiful, one piece of jewelry at a time. I want to create beautiful jewelry that makes an impact: body, mind and soul. Fine jewelry is an asset that appreciates over time and captures powerful memories. I want to be a part of people’s stories.” SS3 SS4

How was your company born?
My company was born when one of my best friends asked me to make him an engagement ring for his girlfriend. He asked “Can you make me a ring?” And I started referring him to jewelers I respected. He interrupted me and asked “No, can YOU make it.” I paused for a second and then realized that yes, I knew enough at that point and was comfortable designing and creating something from scratch to final product.

Why do you love working with engagement rings?
I love finding out how people met and hearing the important, heartfelt moments of their love story. I try to bring their story to life and include my own aesthetic. To be an artist and have someone appreciate your work is one thing. To have them wear it on their body for eternity? An artist’s dream come true. It’s such an honor and I treasure every project.
A big thanks to Salt + Stone for sharing their gorgeous work with us!
