Stephanie’s Ranch Wedding in a Lace Stunner
Lovely bride Stephanie walked into our Los Angeles shop knowing exactly what she was looking for, and we were so happy we were able to help her find her dream dress! Here are some inspiring words from the bride to give you ladies some inspiration!
Tell us about THE dress and what inspired your look.
All the dresses at Lovely Bride are so…well lovely! But I knew that I was looking for one with lots of lace, a sweet heart neckline, and somewhat fitted. I found this one and thought it was beautiful. I added matte satin buttons down the back and had it tailored to be slightly more fitted.
What were the most important details to pulling off your dream wedding?
The whole process was really a labor of love. Our friends and family helped so much! They did all the day of set up and clean up. My mom did most of the decorations and flowers. My mom and I both love to decorate, go to yard sales and love the shabby chic diy style. So that is the look we decided to go for with the wedding. Also, many aspects of the wedding such as the wedding day of coordinator, Master of Ceremonies, DJ, musicians, and photographers were all close friends and family, so it felt very special and intimate.
What was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment for us was probably throughout the ceremony. One was walking down the isle and seeing Matt waiting for me at the end of the isle. We hadn’t seen each other all day. He was crying and as soon as I saw him crying I did as well. We were both so excited and joyful that the day we had been waiting for had arrived. It was also wonderful to hear Matt’s vows and remember and be thankful for all the ways that God has used Matt to love and pursue me well. The ceremony was a beautiful picture of God’s love.
Also Matt and I both really feel cared for by words, so we decided to open up the toasts during the reception to the entire wedding party. We both felt so encouraged and loved by all their toasts!
If you could give future brides any advice, what would it be?
Be thankful and remember what is important. I think thankfulness helps fight against worry and stress. In the midst of all the details of planning a wedding it is easy to get tunnel vision and forget what is really important. Matt (my now husband) was so helpful in the wedding process. He did just as much work, if not more, as I did. And he would constantly remind me of all we had to be thankful for, and encouraged me to remember what things in life are essential and important and what things are not.
