Darling bride Celine found her dream dress at Lovely in NYC! She shares her bridal inspiration and favorite moments from her big day with us.
Tell us about THE dress and what inspired your look.
First thing I looked for in a dress was comfort (I was a very practical bride)! I wanted something simple and light weight to fit into my city wedding theme, and when I put on the Siri dress, I was sold. I loved the peachy color of the dress, which complimented my skin tone very well.
What were the most important details to pulling off your dream wedding?
We spent most of the budget on our wedding venue, which included food and an open bar. After we had the venue booked, everything else fell into place one by one. Guest list is also another very important detail. Even though we had a buffet style reception, we still assigned seats from our guests, and I think that worked out much better than not assigning seats.
What was the most memorable moment?
One of my most memorable moments from the wedding was the father-daughter dance. My dad and I did not talk about doing the dance because I knew how uncomfortable he is with the idea of dancing! I didn’t think he would want to do it, but when it was time for the dance, he gladly took my hands and danced with me. I was so impressed – even though he knew absolutely nothing about dancing, he was able to move his feet and didn’t step on mine! =)
If you could give future brides any advice, what would it be?
Stick to the budget and make a to-do list. Our wedding coordinator, Talida, was extremely helpful with the to-do list. Without her, we would be all over the place. If budget allows, hiring a good wedding planner/coordinator will make any bride’s life so much easier. I was very relaxed on the day of the wedding because I knew Talida was there to handle things for me.
