Our Lovelies

Nothing makes me happier than when my brides send in photos from their big day! Here are some of our most recent brides!

Brianna looked amazing in a Nicole Miller gown! Photography by Fred Grinstein.

Laura was our first bride to order the Watters Sydney in Oatmeal! Photos by Mackler Studios.

Renee wore one of my favorite Ivy and Aster dresses, In Bloom. Photos by Turn Loose The Art Photography.

One Great Dress- Actually Make That Two!

Oh Mon Dieu! I fell on the floor when I saw Olga in her TDF (to die for) Vera Wang gown, but imagine my surprise when I saw what she wore to the rehearsal! One of our Lovely Delphine Manivet dresses! The baby-doll white lace frock was the perfect substitute of ‘bride’ to compensate for her non traditional, but ultra-stunning, grey and gold vera masterpiece! Doesn’t it look like it belongs in the MET?

Photography by Lisa Poggi.

As seen on 100 Layer Cake. See more of the wedding here.

Lovely in Brides Magazine on ‘The Bridal Cap’

Brides Magazine asked our take on the latest accessory trends in bridal and it took us no time to answer…The Bridal Cap!! We love this trend and had several versions come into Lovely and sell within the day, so we know our cool, chic brides get it first! Aside from Kate Moss’s divine cap, here are a few of our other favorites. Whether you wear it over the brow or at the crown of your head, bridal caps look modern and vintage at the same time.

Bling: Johanna Johnson
Vintage: The Thirty Something Bride
Dot: Twigs & Honey (available at Lovely!)

Decor & Details – Where Should I Sit?

Now that I’ve pretty much gotten my location and date locked in, I’m starting to create the look and feel of my wedding as well as figure out all the little details. One thing that I find important is place settings.

Given that my guests will be spending a considerable amount of time sitting at the dinner table, I think the table setting should be creative and fun

(Style Me Pretty, The Bridal Lounge, Design Sponge, Unknown)

(Martha Stewart Weddings, Unknown, Rock My Wedding)

And since we all know setting a table is not easy, I created this little chart to help all of us out. So whether you’re actually setting the tables at your own wedding or just at a dinner party, you’re all set!
