Bridal Stylist – Best Dressed SAG Awards Edition

Ah, I love award show season. Seriously! It’s my version of football season. If there was a bar that played all the award shows, where people cheered when they saw a dress they loved and grunted when they saw one they didn’t, I’d be there in a heartbeat. Unfortunately no thing exists (at lease that I know of!) And so, I’m left to watch all the ladies (and gentlemen!) stroll down the red carpet all by my lonesome self. With only the company of a jar of Dulce de Leche Ice Cream. Yes, I admit it. Almost as fun as that is being able to pick out my favorites and share it with all you lovely readers. Here are my picks:

I love color but sometimes black is just the way to go. Amber Heard must have taken my advice (because you know, we like talk ALL the time) because she looked absolutely fabulous in this cut-out Zac Posen gown. On the other side of the spectrum was Emily Blunt shining like a big giant emerald in this amazing one-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown. That slit is beyond.

Lea Michele almost always makes my best dressed lists. The girl has got some style! This light colored Versace gown was almost spot on. I’d also like to comment on her hair–so simple yet perfect. As for Rose Byrne, we all loved her in Bridesmaids but I’m especially loving her outfit choice. It’s cool to see someone wearing something other than a gown. Plus, you can never go wrong with Elie Saab. I’m still waiting for that Elie Saab Haute Couture dress to land on my doorstep. (Are you listening to me, Elie Saab gods?)

I’ve never been a huge fan of Jayma Mays character in Glee, but I AM a fan of this glittery number by Reem Acra the actress decided to wear to this years’ SAG Awards. The silhouette alone is amazing. Judy Greer also looked fabulous in this white Colette Dinnigan gown. I smell wedding dress?

Do you agree with my picks? If not, which was your favorite look of the night?

One Great Dress- Celeb Sighting!

Amy Smart was my favorite bride of the week. Her wedding day style was simple, country chic, that completely suited the occasion. She kept her look classy with a sleek do, natural make-up, and killer Prada platforms. How cute is her hubby?

Decor & Details – Heart Party

A heart. The archetype of love. Where it all comes from. So important in this whole scheme of love that I think it’s time we take a second and appreciate hearts all of the same shape but all in different sizes and colors. After all, Valentine’s day is almost here!

A heart full of people, a heart you can eat with, the shape of a heart after one too many glasses of wine, a heart of flowers, the heart of tea, save-the-dates sealed with a heart, and a heart cut-out banner.

Confetti hearts, thumb-prints of love, a ring of love, heart-macaroon cakes.

P.S- How awesome is that heart you can eat with? Split it in two and you’ve got two forks, two scoops, and two knives. Share it with the ones you love.
