The Most Talked About Gown of The Century

In a satin gazar gown with stunning lace overlay and a modest train, designed by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton, and topped with a Cartier halo lent to her by the Queen herself, the newly wed Duchess of Cambridge looked the epitome of a modern princess today. What do you think of her bridal style?

perfect in every way
SNOOZEVILLE. Grace Kelly did it better and prettier 56 years ago. And that veil was horrid, it made the top of her head look like a nun. And her hair fell flat before the ceremony was over. Poor Kate.
BEAUTIFUL!
So beautiful! Modern yet timeless. Grace Kelly would be proud!
Loved it! She looked exquisite!
It’s not an easy decision (I am learning!) to choose a dress for such an important day in your life. Imagine what it would be like if the whole world was watching, waiting to weigh in on your choice.
Either way, I believe Kate stayed true to herself, and for that I respect her choice immensely.
I think the dress had a beautiful mix of tradition and modern style; simplicity without being simple. Although something more grand (think Diana) would have been joyful for many reasons, in my estimation, Kate did not disappoint. She seemed to really enjoy herself…AND her gown.
Words can’t describe how beautiful she looked.
Kate’s dress has been nearly universally praised. But as much as I hate to be almost the sole dissenting voice here, I have to say I found her gown quite…ordinary. Basically it was a stripped-down version of the gown worn by Grace Kelly and although pretty, was too plain for a royal bride.
Beautiful and I loved her hair and veil!
While I love the Grace Kelly look, I find more of an issue looking at the bridesmaid in white/off white.
BTW, her earrings were perfect. Love the details.
