Meet the Bloggers – Aisha Holly

Now meet Aisha, our Editor of Wedding Decor, who we heart big time!

Name: Aisha Holly

Background: When Aisha’s not contributing to the Lovely blog, she runs an event design company as well as balances raising four wonderful kids.  Aisha owns Dooby Design Group, a full service event design studio that creates chic one of a kind events; based on style and personality.  Aisha finds inspiration in everything around her, whether and interior space, intricate pattern, architectural detail or runway look.  She’s constantly translating everyday elements into concepts for her events.  She has a passion for unique events, inspiring design, appetizing type, lovely paper and luxurious flowers.  Aisha believes outstanding design makes every celebration an event to remember.

What do you love most about wedding planning: What I love most about wedding planning is the transformation of a simple space into a space filled with the personality and style of our clients. Style + Personality = Great event design.

One tip you would give brides to be: Hire a great photographer. You are about to embark on a special day and you want to remember every moment. If you choose the right person to capture those moments you will have a lifetime to cherish them.

What is your favorite new wedding trend: As you may have noticed in the fashion world, metallic is hot these days! Mixed metals, matte metals and textured metals are all very current looks that can be incorporated into your wedding reception design, through fabrics, accessories or even the furniture accessories.

Aisha has an eye for the unexpected and awe inspiring decor like this color palette concept. She has a real ‘think of of the box’ attitude when it comes to design, so check out her latest and greatest every Wednesday on the Lovely blog.
