This sunny New York City wedding is just what the doctor ordered to cure our winter blues! Sarah and Glenn wed on a gorgeous day in historic and stunning Bryant Park in front of their closest friends and family.  We are so happy that Sarah chose to contribute a little piece of Lovely – her pretty LoBoheme hair accessory and Lovely veil – to the occasion!

Lovely: Tell us about THE dress and what inspired your look

Sarah: My wedding dress was unabashedly feminine with incredible movement, which completely inspired my look.  The keyhole back provided that extra “wow” factor and a heightened sense of romance, which fit in perfectly with our wedding location.

Lovely: What were the most important details to pulling off your dream wedding?

Sarah: I did not have a wedding planner, so I worked closely with our vendors to ensure that they understood our vision, but also relied on their creativity and expertise to execute.  We wanted to create a very warm, intimate and unique atmosphere, so we spent a lot of time on those small details, such as working with our floral designers to create a unique hanging rose altar for the ceremony, serving our “signature drink” at the cocktail hour, and serving cupcakes instead of the traditional wedding cake.

Lovely: What was the most memorable moment?

Sarah: Walking down the aisle with my father by my side and my husband standing at the end was my most memorable moment. It was a moment of pure joy and happiness.

Lovely: If you could give future brides any advice, what would it be?

Sarah: Wedding planning can be intimidating, but if you stay true to your vision and plan ahead, things truly fall into place and you can have a lot of fun in the process.  Also, network with other brides to determine which vendor’s style will best suit your vision.  I was able to identify all of my vendors through referrals and it truly paid off!
