Shoes Glorious Shoes!

Summer wedding season is upon us, and if brides have the dress and veil in tow, they are probably still deciding on one key factor…SHOES! I suggest you wait until the very end to make this all important decision, because shoe trends change pretty often. Not that you want your look to be totally ‘trendy’ but since your wedding dress may cover your shoes for the majority of the wedding, you can have something fun and unexpected on your feet that get the attention during your portrait session.

We just got a fresh crop of Badgley Mischka shoes in. Can you handle how cute the frilly fabric is on the Randall and Randee? And the Hyde is not only a perfect something blue, but our store manager, Cassandra, has found a fun way to manipulate the fabric bow to make a variety of looks from one shoe. Come in and ask for a demo!

And for your bridesmaids, have a little fun with color and detail. The shoe shots are some of our favorite photos at a hip wedding! Three hot trends right now are slate gray, floral prints, and neon pink.

One Great Dress – A Stately Beauty

We usually lean towards the frizzante wedding gowns lately, but we gasped when we say Melanie’s laid back glamour in this wedding gown shot by Jonas Peterson. We are booking our flights to Bali right now.

Love By the Bay

It might be hard to believe, but on our last trip out West we discovered a wedding gem hiding right in the middle of Fisherman’s Wharf. The Fishermen’s and Seamen’s Memorial Chapel is located across from Pier 45 and overlooks the boat basin, erected in tribute to all those who have worked the docks and battled the sea. The chapel’s campanile houses a bell that was crafted in 1860 and above the front doors is a breathtaking stained-glass window. We would love to see a beaming couple married here. Of course, it would be totally perfect for an engagement photo shoot, too. We can already envision a couple posing beneath the stained-glass, ringing the bell, and standing on the dock looking out at the water. So simple, so lovely!
