The List Wedding – Questions Answered!
Dear lovely commenters,
Thanks for all of the kind words on the Style Me Pretty feature of Lovely’s very own Lanie and her hubs Chris. There were also quite a few questions, which I’d like to take the time and answer here:
* For those who wanted to know about the DIY flowers, click here for a tutorial.
* The fabric was from Jo Ann Fabrics.
* The menu template is from Martha Stewart and can be downloaded here.
* The Badgley shoes are sadly sold out. But this Raphaela style is the same heel height.
* The ties were from Lord and Taylor
* Two of the maids dresses were Jcrew and the satin one was Prada on super-sale!
* Most decor (chandeliers, curtains, etc) were from Ikea…great wedding resource in the garden and lighting section! Cheaper than renting!

What a gorgeous event! I will be getting married at my fiance’s parents home in Rhode Island in June. We will be having a similar garden, backyard, tented extravaganza. When I saw your wedding on SMP, I felt like I saw “my vision” come to life! Curious to know how you hung the fabric for the photo booth? And what kind of material did you use or would you recommend? Luckily there was a porch area that had wood beams we used as support. If you wanted to hang it in an open area, you can always get pvc pipe from a hardware store and create a frame too.

My question is regarding her programs. Were they also DIY? Those are exactly what I am looking for but, didn’t seem to find them on the realweddings website.

I actually did do the programs myself and printed them from my inkjet printer on parchment paper. Super easy! There are a tons of templates on Martha Stewart’s website so perhaps you can find one there?

Wow, Ikea? I’ll have to check them out for wedding accessories.
Your wedding is such an inspiration! Absolutely breathtaking. I’m having trouble figuring out how to hang the Ikea lights from the tent. Do they require a plug? We are having a 40X80 pole tent, which it seems like you had too. Any suggestions on how to manage this, especially since we only have 2-3 days with the tent before the wedding? Also, we purchased 10 lamps.. how many did you use? Thank you! Thank you!
