Lovely Store Decor 2 – One Day, Three Pinks
I now know why blue was assigned to boys and pink to girls. Blue is easy going. You might prefer one blue over the other, but any blue works just fine. Lovely was painted blue this weekend, and in one quick coat, it looked just right. Our pink bathroom, on the other hand, has been a pain in our @?!. Pink is complicated and unpredictable. Just when you think you find the right shade, you put it on the wall, but nope, looks like Barbie dream house. So we try another, nope, looks like a band-aid. Next one, Pepto Bismol. We are just about fed up with pink. We have gone through Silky Smooth, Paris Romance, and Bridal Pink and nothing looks right. Now when Bridal Pink doesn’t look right in a bridal shop, you know it’s not us, it’s the paint. Should I give it one last try? Maybe this Mosaic Pink or Dress Pink? Any tips on finding a good pink?

I’ll leave you with some more thrift finds. Got this great dove gray chair, a fun chartreuse number, and the butter leather vintage suitcase. And check out the awesome gigantic mirrors my hubs is building for the store! He is the best. (Clearly these pics are not to scale as the mirror is way huger than a suitcase).

Expect short posts this week at Lovely because we are in the final stretch before the store opening and workin’ workin’ day and night! But if you just can’t get your fill of Lovely, check us out on 100 Layer Cake where we are guest blogging this week!

Try something close to white with just a hint of pink.
Don’t have pink advice, you’re right it’s complicated. I will say those thrift finds are from heaven!

Love & Happiness by Benjamin Moore. It has a little beige in it that keeps it soft and subtle.
