No, not for best picture…for fashion! This year’s award season has been somewhat disappointing for bridal fashion inspirations. Why aren’t celebs thinking about all the brides out there looking to them for wedding ideas? Lovely to the rescue! Here are our picks from designer’s fall 2010 collections to rock both the red carpet and the aisle.

First up, Carey Mulligan (doesn’t she remind you of Audrey Hepburn?). Her pixie haircut and this high collar D&G dress are a match made in heaven. A modern vintage look perfect for a young starlet.

Fashion forward Maggie Gyllenhaal would have no problem wearing the bold sleeves on this Rodarte gown. For bridal, we love the draping and polka-dots that give off a whimsical and romantic vibe.

We see Up in the Air’s young star in this show stopping Marchesa gown. Super feminine with lots of drama to be sure everyone remembers newcomer Anna Kendrick (or the bride!).

Penelope Cruz looks good in everything and although she tends to go big for the Oscars, we’d love to see her in this shimmering number from Alberta Ferretti. A great gown for city chic brides too!
